Indiana Republican Chairwoman Erin Lucas issued a statement in response to Governor Mike Braun's State of the State address on January 29, 2025.

Lucas remarked, “Governor Braun's speech served as both a reminder of why Hoosiers voted overwhelmingly to put him in office and of his commitment to keeping the promises he campaigned on." She highlighted that the governor's administration has taken significant steps towards fulfilling his Freedom and Opportunity agenda. This includes issuing executive orders aimed at reducing government waste and corruption, lowering healthcare costs, and enhancing community protection.

In his address, Governor Braun committed to collaborating with state representatives to provide tax relief, improve government efficiency, boost public safety, foster economic development, offer affordable healthcare, and strengthen the education system. Lucas emphasized that these priorities reflect the everyday concerns and goals of Indiana residents. She affirmed the party's support for leaders who advocate for these issues.
