Chairwoman Anne Hathaway issued a statement on November 28, 2023, regarding the appointment of Elise Nieshalla as Indiana State Comptroller.
"We are excited that Governor Holcomb appointed conservative leader Elise Nieshalla to serve as our state's next Comptroller," Hathaway stated. She emphasized that Nieshalla is an "excellent choice" following Tera Klutz's many years of service. Nieshalla brings experience as an entrepreneur, economic development professional, and president of the Boone County Council. Hathaway noted that throughout her career, Nieshalla has been "an accomplished public servant" and "a strong leader and fiscal manager."
