Ball State track and field's Charity Griffith was announced this week's Mid-American Conference Field Athlete of the Week after a stand-out performance at the Hawkeye Invitational.
Griffith cleared 6'-0.75" (1.85m) in the high jump at last Saturday's meet, tying her personal best and the Ball State program record, which she set at the 2022 MAC Indoor Championships. This high jump mark also set a meet and facility record and earned her an event win.
The senior from Arlington, Indiana, is off to a strong start this indoor season, already claiming two event wins over the first two meets of the season. Griffith currently leads the MAC and is tied for fourth in the nation in the high jump.
Next up for the Cardinals is the Gladstein Invitational hosted by Indiana at Gladstein Fieldhouse in Bloomington on Jan. 20-21.
