The Butler baseball program will host their annual First Pitch Dinner on Saturday, February 11 this year in the Efroymson Family Gymnasium located inside Hinkle Fieldhouse. This year's guest speaker is two-time MLB All-Star and BU Alum Pat Neshek.
The 2023 First Pitch Dinner will begin at 6 PM with dinner to follow at 7 PM. Those interested in attending can register now by Clicking Here. Registration will close on Feb. 10.
After dinner, Head Coach Blake Beemer will address the room along with some Bulldog seniors to give a team update. Keynote speaker Pat Neshek will also be on campus to speak at the program.
Neshek was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the sixth round of the 2002 MLB Draft after a stellar career at Butler. He played for the Twins, Padres, A's, Cardinals, Astros, Phillies and Rockies before leaving the MLB in 2019. Neshek won 36 games in the majors while striking out 471 batters and holding a 2.82 ERA. He still holds the single-game strikeout record at Butler (18).
