DePauw guard Elijah Hales (Sr., Topeka, Ind./Westview) has been selected as the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for his performances in DePauw's games last week.
In DePauw's wins at Olivet and Kalamazoo, Hales averaged 27.5 points and 3.5 assists. His 39 points at Kalamazoo were a career high and the seventh-most in program history. His 29 points in the first half of that contest broke the DePauw men's record of 27 and his nine 3-pointers made in the contest tied a program record. He also eclipsed the career 1,000-point plateau in the win.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 7, when it hosts Hiram in a 1 p.m. NCAC contest.
