Transylvania Wins Fourth Straight HCAC Volleyball Tournament Title
Transylvania University came out victorious in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) 2022 Volleyball Championship on Sunday, defeating Mount St. Joseph in straight sets, 3-0.

The Pioneers came out firing, picking up a 25-14 win to secure momentum. In the second set the Pioneers continued to roll, posting a decisive 25-12 victory. The Pioneers secured the championship title with a set three win, 25-12.
The HCAC recognizes an All-Tournament team and a most outstanding player of the tournament. Grace Ward (Edgewood, Ky.) was named the tournament’s most outstanding player for her efforts throughout the tournament. Those members of the 2022 HCAC Volleyball All-Tournament team include:

Transylvania earns the conference’s automatic qualification bid to the 2022 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship. The field for the championship will be announced Monday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m., with the opening rounds scheduled for Nov. 12-13, 2022 at a location to be announced by the NCAA.
