This week, the men's golf team traveled to Augusta, Michigan, to compete in the WHAC Fall Preview. The three-round event has one round of stroke play, followed by two rounds of match play, going head-to-head with another school.
The Warriors completed round one of the Fall Preview, tied for 5th. As a team, the Warriors carded a 24-over par 312 and ended the round all square with Siena Heights. The Warriors were led by Spencer Keller and Wil Campbell, who shot a 4-over 76 through the first 18 holes. Kaden Sutton posted a 79 for the Warriors, while Alex Locke and Dylan Davis scored 81.
Rounds two and three of the Fall Preview were match-play events, with the Warriors picking up a 3-2 win over Cornerstone in the first round of match-play. Spencer Keller, Alex Locke, and Wil Campbell were the three points for Tech winning their matches. In round three of the event, the Warriors fell to Siena Heights in 2-3 fashion. Alex Locke and Wil Campbell were the Warriors winning their matches.
The Warrior's next match takes place on October 17-18 when they head to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for the Cornerstone Invitational.
