Word on the Shelf on Aug. 31

Year-round online volunteer opportunity for teens

Wednesday, August 31

All day

Online

Read and review Young Adult books. This online volunteer opportunity is open to all interested teens in grades 6–12.

The word on the street is that teens in grades 6–12 have another fun way to volunteer for the library. Help spread the word about the most recent books published for teens by reading and reviewing them for the library's catalog. Get your library card ready! You'll borrow a new book (no more than a year old) from the library's print or digital collection on your own.

To find out more, visit our Teen Volunteer Corps webpage and click on the Teen Volunteer Opportunities button. Then select Word on the Shelf for complete details, including how to submit your review(s). Not yet a member of the TVC? Applications are available online and are accepted year-round!
