City of Carmel issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
The City of Carmel’s Department of Community Services recently updated Carmel’s myCarmel mobile application to include Accessibility Improvement reports. The new addition to
the myCarmel app was developed by the City’s Carmel Advisory Committee on Disabilities to make reporting issues involving accessibility convenient and easy to report directly to
Carmel’s ADA Coordinator. The myCarmel app is a mobile tool designed to help citizens report issues to the City. Community members can now use this app to report accessibility
issues involving curb ramps, sidewalk repairs, trip hazards and many other things that impact a person’s ability to get around Carmel.
By downloading this free app to your Apple device or Android Smartphone, you will be able to quickly and easily report issues or concerns, gain access to case updates via email
or text and help keep Carmel a great place for everyone. The app allows reports to be submitted directly to City staff along with photos, a brief description of an issue and your
contact information. Another added benefit of the myCarmel app is the ability for the City staff to monitor, schedule and update case status’ in the field which will help maximize
work efficiency.
