U.S. Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) has said he will be challenging the Electoral College certification vote.
Braun is one of 11 senators asking for a 10-day emergency audit.
“We intend to vote on January 6 to reject the electors from disputed states as not ‘regularly given’ and ‘lawfully certified’ (the statutory requisite), unless and until an emergency 10-day audit is completed,” Braun said in a tweet.
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is leading the way for objecting the Electoral College certification by 11 senators.
“We're at an extraordinary time in our country's history,” Cruz told Fox News. “We went into this election with the country deeply divided, deeply polarized, and we've seen in the last two months unprecedented allegations of voter fraud and that's produced a deep, deep distrust of our Democratic process across the country.”
In all states where Joe Biden recorded a slim majority, voter irregularity allegations have been made.
