ELKHART PUBLIC LIBRARY: Coding for children coming in March

Library kids(1000)

Elkhart Public Library recently issued the following announcement.

A three week program introducing children to coding using games and robots will start at the Downtown library March 5.

Little Coders, part of the NASA @ My Library grant, will teach children ages 4 to 6 coding.

Little Coders will be at 4:30 p.m. weekly starting Thursday, March 5 and continuing for three weeks. Space is limited so registration is required.

Throughout the class children will be programming robots to race on Mars in a fun game-like style that will keep kids engaged and excited.

It is believed that coding could be as important in the future as writing. It’s no doubt that computer coding will be vitally important for employment in the near future and a skill that many jobs, even outside of the tech industry need.

There is no time then like the present to at least introduce your children to coding.
