U.S. Senators Todd Young, Cindy Hyde-Smith, and James Lankford have joined over 100 members of Congress in urging President Trump to reinstate and expand pro-life policies as he begins his new administration. The lawmakers issued a letter to President Trump, condemning the previous administration's pro-abortion policies.

The letter criticizes the Biden administration for what it describes as "unprecedented and illegal pro-abortion policies." It states that "President Biden, Vice President Harris, and their administration systematically weaponized the government against the unborn, their mothers and pro-life Americans."

The senators express their hope for a return to Trump's previous life-affirming policies. They emphasize a "whole of government approach" to support pregnant and parenting women and their children.

The letter calls for reinstating long-standing policies that restrict taxpayer dollars from promoting abortion both domestically and internationally. It also advocates for anti-discrimination conscience policies, pardoning peaceful protesters, and investigating potential illegal late-term abortions.

Lawmakers urge President Trump to evaluate federal programs to maximize benefits for pregnant and parenting women with housing, childcare, transportation, addiction recovery, and life-affirming healthcare. They express gratitude towards the Trump administration's potential role in ending what they see as government weaponization against pro-life Americans.

In addition to Senators Young, Hyde-Smith, and Lankford, other signatories include U.S. Senators Steve Daines, John Cornyn, Kevin Cramer, Marsha Blackburn among others. The letter has been endorsed by several organizations including the American Association of Pro-Life OBGYNs and Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.
