The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Mark Messmer for the United States House of Representatives. Messmer is running to represent Indiana’s 8th Congressional District.

Natalie Robinson, NFIB Indiana State Director, expressed support for Messmer by highlighting his experience as a small business owner and member of the NFIB. “As a small business owner and NFIB member, Mark Messmer knows firsthand less government creates more jobs,” she stated. Robinson pointed to Messmer's voting record in the Indiana Senate, which stands at 92%, as evidence of his dedication to job growth and reducing bureaucratic obstacles. She added, “Now more than ever, small businesses need strong advocates in Congress, and we are certain Mark Messmer will continue to be a reliable voice for Indiana’s Main Street.”

Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also praised Messmer's background in business. “Mark Messmer is a successful, multi-generational small business owner and operator,” she said. Sussin emphasized that his experience would serve him well as an advocate for small businesses in Congress. “We know he will keep small businesses in mind when debating policy, and we are pleased to endorse him today.”

The endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, the political action committee of the organization. This committee is funded through voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their regular dues. The decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are guided by grassroots evaluations conducted by its members.
