Registration is now open for the Indiana Chamber's fourth annual Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana competition, which highlights the state's manufacturing prowess and passion for basketball. This year, the Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC) joins as a partner.
“With the IDDC’s ‘IN Indiana’ marketing campaign, the partnership between their organization and ours to grow and promote this exciting competition and the companies that compete in it just makes so much sense,” said Vanessa Green Sinders, Indiana Chamber president and CEO.
Elaine Bedel, IDDC secretary and CEO, emphasized the synergy: “Partnering with the Indiana Chamber’s Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana tournament is a perfect way to celebrate innovation IN Indiana.”
The new collaboration promises increased recognition for participants. The IDDC will leverage its social media platforms and produce high-quality videos featuring the eight quarterfinalists.
Entries are being accepted through October 18 at www.indianachamber.com/coolest. Participation is free, but products must be made in Indiana. Online fan voting will determine winners in each matchup, with the tournament concluding in November.
Last year's winner was Hoosier Racing Tire for its racing tire. Previous winners include Janus Motorcycles of Goshen and Maple Leaf Farms of Leesburg.
Competitors will receive digital badges for participation, with special badges for quarterfinalists onward. The winning company will be featured in BizVoice® magazine, with awards presented at the 2024 Best IN Manufacturing Awards Luncheon on December 11 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.
Sponsors include Purdue Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Purdue MEP), Kalenborn Abresist Corporation, and Evonik Tippecanoe Laboratories. Additional sponsorships are available; contact Tim Brewer at (317) 496-0704 or tbrewer@indianachamber.com.
