Carmel Police Department welcomes four new officers
On April 18, 2022, the Carmel Police Department welcomed four new police officers. The officers are pictured below at a swearing-in ceremony at the Carmel Police Department Headquarters. All four officers are currently attending the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
John Heckman graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice; prior to joining CPD he was employed as an emergency medical technician with Indianapolis EMS and served as a reserve police officer with the Shirley, Indiana Police Department.
Abishai Schoenbein attended Cedarville University in Ohio and, prior to joining CPD, worked as a crew leader for Joseph Tree Service.
Liam Taylor resides in Carmel and studied Criminal Justice at Ivy Tech Community College.
Lance Wesner is an Illinois native and has his Associates Degree from Parkland Junior College.
