9

Trine University recently issued the following announcement.

After being put on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic, Trine University’s popular LEGO Robotics camps are returning for summer 2022.

“Many children and parents have loved these opportunities for kids to get hands-on experience with STEM projects under the guidance of Trine University students,” said Jason Blume, executive director of Trine innovation 1, which hosts the campus. “We’re glad to offer them again and hope parents and kids are as excited as we are.”

All camps will be held on Trine University’s Angola campus and will be limited to 12 campers per session.

Camps begin the week of July 18-22, with grades K-2 meeting from 8 a.m. to noon for the We-Bot camp and third- through fifth-graders gathering from 1-5 p.m. for an Introductory camp. A second Introductory camp for grades 3-5 will be offered from 8 a.m. to noon July 25-29, and an advanced camp for grades 6-7 will be held the same week from 1-5 p.m.

Campers will build and program different robots each day throughout the week. A snack will be provided, and campers will receive a T-shirt.

Cost is $220 per camp per week.
