City of Carmel issued the following announcement on Nov. 3.
Officers and civilian employees of the Carmel Police Department (CPD) are once again participating in “No-Shave November” to raise awareness about cancer and collect
donations to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). This is CPD’s sixth year of participation in "No-Shave November." The fundraising goal this year is $3,000. CPD is
proud to have raised a total of more than $24,000 during the past four years to benefit LLS.
Carmel Police Chief Jim Barlow is relaxing the department’s grooming standards regarding facial hair for employees that make monetary donations. Family, friends and members
of the community are also encouraged to donate. Please consider supporting the CPD's initiative by donating to the Go Fund Me account. Click below:
For each monetary goal achieved, School Resource Officer Sarah Livingston or School Resource Officer Mike Zimmerman will complete the activities below. Check out the Carmel

$500 – Officer Zimmerman gets slimed
$1000 – CPD employee rides with a driving instructor at the track
$2000 – Officer Livingston receives a K9 bite
$3000 – Officer Zimmerman and Officer Livingston toss a pie at Chief Barlow in the face!

The fundraising campaign will conclude with The Great Shave Off event at Main Street Barber Shop located at 41 W. Main Street, Carmel.
