City of Frankfort issued the following announcement on Mar 10.
The Board of Public Works and Safety met in a special meeting on Monday, March 02, 2020, at 5:00 PM in the Council Chamber, 301 East Clinton Street, Frankfort, Indiana. The following action was taken:
Mayor Sheets called the meeting to order and led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. Board of Works members Mark Mitchell and Megan Sheets were present along with Annie Bacon, John Kirby, Scott Shoemaker, Jason Forsythe, Sam Payne, and Don Stock.

Mayor Sheets introduced her Department Head; Fire Chief, John Kirby, Street Department Superintendent Jason Forsythe, Deputy Chief Scott Shoemaker, Director of Planning (Building Inspector’s Office) Don Stock.
New meeting schedule for the BOW will be the 2nd and 4th Monday at 5:00 pm in the Council Chambers. The 2nd and 4th Wednesday will be the Department Head Planning sessions at 11:00 am.
Mark Mitchell motioned to accept the Independent contract with Sam Payne for the Building Inspectors Office. Megan Sheets 2nd the motion, motion carried 3-0.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR: No report
POLICE DEPARTMENT: No Report
FIRE DEPARTMENT: John Kirby, Fire Chief, presented a contract for the restroom at Headquarters located at 257 South Clay. ARC was awarded the bid at the last BOW meeting. There was discussion regarding the fee schedule listed in the Contract to assure the process would work with the dates of the claim submission dates. Attorney Les Bergum stated he needs the workers comp insurance paperwork and also the auto insurance paperwork prior to the work commencing. Mark Mitchell motioned to table it until the next meeting. Megan Sheets 2nd and motion carried 3-0.
STREET DEPARTMENT: Jason Forsythe, Street Superintendent, reported the Chris Herron program will be rescheduled for April 07, 2020. All schools have been notified.
PARKS DEPARTMENT: No report
BUILDING SERVICES: No report
ADJOURNMENT: Being no further business to come before the board Mark Mitchell motioned to adjourn the meeting at 5:20, Megan Sheets 2nd, motion carried 3-0
