The Indiana Chamber has introduced the eighth edition of its handbook, "Model Employee Policies for Indiana Employers," authored by attorneys at Bose McKinney & Evans LLP. This updated guide aims to assist employers in adapting to evolving legal standards and regulations.
New topics addressed in this edition include artificial intelligence and self-managed PTO. Additionally, it covers a range of subjects such as attendance policies, employment procedures, company integrity, compensation guidelines, employee benefits, technology use in the workplace, non-discrimination policies, hiring processes, and safety protocols.
Vanessa Green Sinders, president and CEO of the Indiana Chamber, stated: “This new guide is designed to help employers understand the legal implications of an organization’s written policies and procedures, the costs and benefits of placing informal practices in an employee handbook and how to communicate an organization’s values and goals.” She emphasized that the handbook has been a vital resource for HR professionals since its inception.
Buyers will receive a link with downloadable Word versions of the policies for convenience. The authors pledge to keep these policies current throughout 2025 as federal changes arise.
The handbook is priced at $81.75 for Indiana Chamber members ($109 for non-members), while the ePub version can be purchased for $79 through www.indianachamber.com/publications.
