U.S. Senator Todd Young of Indiana has announced his leadership roles and committee assignments for the 119th Congress. He will chair two subcommittees and serve on five additional ones.
Senator Young expressed his commitment to these roles, stating, "I’m honored to serve as chairman and member of these important subcommittees. I look forward to continuing my service on the Commerce and Finance Committees this Congress where I will work with my colleagues on issues important to Hoosiers."
Young's chairmanships include the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Subcommittee on Surface Transportation, Freight, Pipelines, and Safety. This subcommittee oversees interstate transportation policy issues. Additionally, he will lead the Senate Finance Subcommittee on Health Care, which handles matters related to Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and health care system financing and regulation.
In addition to these chairmanships, Senator Young is a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
