Indiana Chamber hosts annual HR conference; nominations open for statewide award

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is preparing to host its 61st Annual Indiana HR Conference and Expo in Indianapolis. Scheduled for May 5-7 at the Indiana Convention Center, the event will gather human resources professionals from across the state.

The conference will feature a range of workshops and sessions tailored for HR staff, alongside a market expo showcasing industry services and products. Frost Brown Todd is sponsoring the event.

"Human resources professionals remain critical to the function of Indiana’s businesses and organizations of all types," stated Vanessa Green Sinders, President and CEO of the Indiana Chamber. She emphasized the value of knowledgeable speakers and exhibitors in providing attendees with valuable resources.

On May 6, Austin J. Franklin, CEO and co-founder of Good-Natured Life, will deliver a keynote speech on enhancing influence and impact as HR professionals. The following day, Heather Haas, CEO of ADVISA, will discuss workplace culture in her presentation titled "Is Your Culture Working for You or Against You?"

The conference agenda includes sessions on HR leadership, employment law, workplace inclusivity, employee well-being, engagement and retention.

Nominations are open for the 2025 Ogletree Deakins Human Resources Professional of the Year Award. Full-time HR practitioners in Indiana who have made significant contributions over the past year are eligible. Nominations must be submitted by March 7 at www.indianachamber.com/hrpro. Dr. Adrienne Sims received last year's award as senior vice president and chief human resources officer with IU Health.
