NFIB Indiana State Director Natalie Robinson has expressed support for Representative Pressel's amendment to HB 1461, which aims to remove the retail delivery fee provision from the road funding bill.
"Eliminating the retail delivery fee provision is a major win for Indiana’s small businesses," said Robinson. "Small business owners are working hard to strengthen and grow their businesses, and this legislation removes a financial barrier they cannot afford. We thank Rep. Pressel for his work on this issue and protecting Main Street."
Robinson had previously testified against the inclusion of the retail delivery fee in HB 1461.
This development comes after another legislative change with HB 1223, authored by Representative Karickhoff, which allows certain businesses exemption from assessment fees related to Tourism Improvement District projects. Robinson also acknowledged Karickhoff's efforts in addressing issues affecting small businesses.
