The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has awarded Rep. Stephen Bartels with the Guardian of Small Business Award. This award is the highest honor given by NFIB to legislators who support small businesses.

Natalie Robinson, NFIB Indiana State Director, stated, "We are proud to recognize Rep. Bartels today as a top small business supporter and as a Guardian of Small Business." She emphasized that Bartels advocates for reduced government intervention, which aligns with the needs of small business owners. Robinson highlighted his efforts over recent years in pushing legislation aimed at reducing unnecessary regulations, enhancing transparency in regulatory processes, improving government efficiency, and increasing protections for Indiana citizens and businesses. She expressed gratitude for his dedication and looked forward to collaborating with him in future sessions to continue eliminating bureaucratic obstacles.
