U.S. Senators Todd Young and Jim Banks have announced the solicitation of applications for several federal vacancies in Indiana. The positions available include roles in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, U.S. Attorney for both the Southern and Northern Districts, and U.S. Marshal for both districts.

Applications for the U.S. District Court position must be submitted by February 21, 2025. Those interested in serving as a U.S. Attorney or U.S. Marshal must submit their applications by February 7, 2025.

Candidates may apply for multiple positions if they meet the qualifications.

"U.S. District Court judges, U.S. District Attorneys, and U.S. Marshals are nominated by the President of the United States and must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate," stated the announcement from Senators Young and Banks.

The process follows constitutional requirements where senators provide advice and consent on presidential nominations.
