A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Indiana State Board of Education regarding instructional mandates for state K-12 schools on December 10, 2024. The request was made by Hoosier State Today, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
In the request, we sought a list of all instructional mandates for state K-12 schools under the Indiana Access to Public Records Act § 5-14-3-1 et seq. Specifically, we asked for all required courses and/or general instruction in an electronic format.
