Indiana Republican Party Chairman Randy Head has resigned from his position, effective immediately. The announcement was made after Head informed members of the Indiana Republican State Committee over the weekend. He plans to return to his full-time role at Krieg DeVault.

Head served as party chair for five months, during which he led significant fundraising efforts and oversaw a successful election cycle for the Republicans in Indiana. His leadership saw victories at various levels, including the election of a Republican governor, lieutenant governor, and U.S. senator, along with the re-election of the state's Republican attorney general.

Erin Lucas, currently serving as Vice Chair, will take on the role of interim chairwoman until a new chair is elected by the Indiana Republican State Committee.

In a statement, Randy Head expressed gratitude for his time as chairman: “It has been the honor of my life to serve as chairman of the Indiana Republican Party for the past five months. In that time, we have achieved remarkable success." He also thanked Governor-elect Mike Braun and Krieg DeVault for their support during his tenure.

He assured that he would continue contributing to the party's activities: “I’m not going anywhere. I will continue to serve on the Indiana Republican State Committee as the 4th District chair."

Governor-elect Mike Braun praised Head's contributions: “Randy has also been a great partner in our gubernatorial transition... I wish him the very best as he returns to his professional career and continues to serve as 4th District chair.”
