INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Chairwoman Anne Hathaway issued a statement in response to President Joe Biden's State of the Union Address on March 7, 2024. In her statement, Hathaway expressed mixed feelings about the address.

"Tonight marks a deeply bittersweet moment for our country. While there is relief in the likelihood that this could be President Biden's final State of the Union Address, it's undeniable that the journey to this point has been incredibly challenging for the United States," she stated.

Hathaway criticized President Biden's leadership and his approach during his tenure. "In his speech this evening, we unfortunately heard more of the same from the President. He continued to blame others for his failed leadership and he has proven to be ineffective at addressing the serious problems that continue to plague this great country."

She pointed out what she perceives as unfulfilled promises made by Biden when he took office in 2021. "The facts remain that when President Biden took office in 2021, he promised to bring the country together to solve issues with the economy, public safety, our southern border, foreign policy, and more. And he has failed at every turn."

Hathaway concluded by stating that Hoosier Republicans are motivated and prepared for upcoming elections. "Hoosier Republicans are energized and ready to work together to elect a new president in 2024."
