Drew Herman | Butler University

Drew Herman earned the BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors following a pair of standout performances. The announcement was made by the conference office on Wednesday, Dec. 18. This was Herman's first time receiving the award in his three years in a Bulldog uniform.

Herman jumped a height of 2.00 meters (6' 6.75") at the Rod McGravy Memorial over the weekend to earn a third-place finish at the meet. This is the second straight week that Herman placed top three in the event while jumping the same height. The junior's 2.00-meter jump is tied for first in the league and was first among all BIG EAST jumpers this week.

The recognition is Butler's third athlete to be named to the weekly track and field award this season. Jesse Hamlin and Angelina Ellis both received track honors on Dec. 14.

The Bulldogs will continue their spectacular start to the season at the Gladstein Invitational on Friday and Saturday on the Indiana University campus in Bloomington.
