Indiana Gov. Eric J. Holcomb announced he has reappointed Henry Hall and Rick Hall to the Ball State University Board of Trustees. Both members were reappointed to four-year terms, which are effective through 2026.

“We are grateful to Gov. Holcomb and the State of Indiana for their support of our University, and for their diligence in selecting an excellent, diverse Board of Trustees,” Ball State Board of Trustees chair Renae Conley said. “Trustees Henry Hall and Rick Hall are dedicated Ball State graduates and respected members of their respective communities who are integral to our board and our University.”

Henry Hall was appointed to the Ball State Board of Trustees in June 2019. He is a resident of Fort Wayne, Ind., where he serves as president/CEO of Skytech Products Group, a leading manufacturer and distributor of control systems for the hearth, heating, and cooling industries.

Trustee Hall graduated from Ball State’s Miller College of Business in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance with a concentration in Accounting. He also played football for the Cardinals from 1988 to 1992, where he served one year as co-captain. Trustee Hall was a two-time first team All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) honoree at the defensive end position, as well as a two-time first-team Academic All-MAC selection.

He remains an avid fan of the Ball State football team as a member of the Cardinal Varsity Club, and has been an outstanding advocate for Ball State students and their transition from college to career, serving as a member of the Ball State University Alumni Association’s Alumni Council

Rick Hall was initially appointed to the Ball State Board of Trustees in 2007. He serves as vice chair of the board and chair of the Finance, Facilities, and Planning Committee, and is also a member of the Ball State University Foundation Board of Directors. Trustee Hall also previously served as Board of Trustees chair (2014-20) and secretary (2011-14).

Trustee Hall, of Carmel, Ind., is a partner and chair of the Governmental Services and Finance Department at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, one of the 100 largest law firms in the country. He represents public and private entities in the areas of economic development incentives, governmental services, and public finance.

Trustee Hall earned his bachelor’s degree at Ball State in 1989, where he earned four letters playing basketball and was the Cardinals’ captain in his senior year. A two-time first team Academic All-MAC selection, he also received the prestigious Walter Byers Postgraduate Scholarship, awarded by the NCAA each year to one male and one female student-athlete for academic excellence, athletic achievement, and commitment to public service. He earned his law degree from the Northwestern University School of Law.

Ball State’s nine trustees are appointed by the governor and responsible for the fiduciary oversight of the university. The Board’s primary duties are to approve the strategic direction of the university, confer degrees, and oversee fiscal matters such as the university budget and tuition and fee policies.
