City Swears in New Police Officers

6

City of Boonville recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Boonville welcomed three new police officers with a swearing in ceremony at City Hall.  Using monies available from the Public Safety LIT Tax, the city was able to

increase the size of their police force allowing more coverage not only in the city, but also at local schools.    The new officers will now begin their 40 hours of pre-basic training and

field training, followed by intensive training this summer at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield, IN.

Beginning with the swearing in the men are considered full time police officers.  They will also begin their one year probation period and undergo mandatory training in numerous

areas including diversity.  Please welcome these new officers to our community.
