August in Downtown Wabash, Indiana will be jam-packed with activities!

Sidewalk Sales, Market on Miami, Kunkel Cruise In returning in Downtown Wabash

Late August weekend full of community events for all ages, interests

Downtown Wabash will become a bustling event hub during the weekend of Aug. 20 and 21. Annual Downtown Wabash events including the 8th Annual Takin’ it to the Streets Sidewalk Sales and the 8th Annual Downtown Wabash Farmers Market on Miami St. are presented by Wabash Marketplace. The 22nd Annual Dave Kunkel Cruise-In will also take place in Downtown Wabash.

Takin’ it to the Streets Sidewalk Sales (Downtown Wabash District)

Friday, Aug. 20 and Saturday, Aug. 21; hours vary by business

Takin’ it to the Streets Sidewalk Sales in Wabash Marketplace is returning in 2021 for its 8th year of shopping deals and events in Downtown Wabash. Participating small businesses in Downtown Wabash will host a variety of shopping deals on items including unique boutique clothing, food and drinks, books, antiques, thrifted vintage and more. A full list of participating businesses will be available at a later date. 

Downtown Wabash Farmers Market on Miami St.

Saturday, Aug. 20 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Vendors participating in the Market on Miami will feature handmade, homemade and homegrown items including fresh produce, meats, dairy products, homegoods, plants, arts and artisan wares. Shoppers are invited to experience more than vendor offerings at the 2021 Market. Additional offerings include live music, food trucks, family-friendly activities and demonstrations, and more.

Dave Kunkel Cruise-In (Honeywell Center)

Friday, Aug. 20 from 3-9 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 21 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Dave Kunkel Cruise In is an annual car show open to both cars and trucks of classic and late models. More than 400 cars are entered into the Cruise-In every year and enter rounds of judging and awards for numerous categories. Funds raised at the event will go toward ALS research in honor of Dave Kunkel, a native of Wabash County.
