Donald Trump and Mike Pence are on speaking terms even after the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

They have also spoken twice since Biden’s inauguration according to CNN news.

The Epoch Times reported that Pence applauded the former president “during a meeting with congressional Republicans this week, according to one of the lawmakers present.”

“He spoke very favorably about his relationship with President Trump,” Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) told CNN. “I got the sense they speak often and maintain the same personal friendship and relationship now that they have for four years.”

Banks added that a group from his Republican Study Committee met with Pence and have discussed the GOP’s future direction and what it has accomplished in the past.

“He’ll be launching an organization defending the successful Trump-Pence record of the last four years,” Banks said.

Marc Short, former Chief of Staff to Pence told CNN's Pamela Brown that “the reality is the president and the vice president met. They’ve talked several times before they parted. They parted amicably. The president told the vice president he did a great job for him. And they’ve spoken since."

He further confirmed that Pence was focused on his role on Jan. 6 and had no time on other matters such as Trump’s tweet calling him a coward.
