U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) has acknowledged the students who completed the fall session of his internship program in his Washington, D.C., Indianapolis, and New Albany offices. The interns contributed to daily activities and special projects focused on legislation, communications, and constituent services.
The group in Washington, D.C. included Erik McCray, a recent graduate from Indiana University Bloomington; Jorie Allen, a Bedford native and recent DePaul University graduate; Collin Monesmith, an Indianapolis native set to graduate from Indiana University Bloomington in December 2025; and Josie O’Rourke, a student at the University of Denver.
In Indianapolis, the interns were Maria Abdelmalek, a Carmel native and junior at Butler University; Ryan Riddlesperger, a senior at Purdue University; Charles Alderice, a Fort Wayne native and senior at Purdue University; and Ashlyn Moritz, a Westfield native and recent Bob Jones University graduate.
The New Albany office was represented by Sam Goldman Brown, a Georgetown native attending Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg.
Senator Young’s office provides internship opportunities throughout the year in both Washington, D.C. and Indianapolis locations. The program is designed to give students exposure to the legislative branch of government while serving residents of Indiana.
