The Washington County Sheriff’s Office marked National Police Week, according to a May 15 announcement. Sheriff Brent Miller thanked officers for their dedication and service to the community.
National Police Week is an annual observance that honors law enforcement officers and acknowledges their commitment to public safety. The week provides an opportunity for communities to express gratitude for the work of police personnel.
“To every officer who puts on the uniform day after day, your commitment to this community does not go unnoticed. Thank you for all you do to keep us safe,” said Miller.
Miller was joined in his message by Chief Deputy Brad Shepherd, Captain Joe Keltner, Detective Brad Naugle, Lieutenant Joe Johnson, Lieutenant Wayne Blevins, Sergeant Tory Hildreth, Sergeant Matt Hein, Paul Reyling, Cody Pouw, Ryan Ater, Jordan Crawford, Jason Hartsfield, Uriah Graves, Dylan Johnson, Animal Control Officer Mike Wimmer and Civil Process Server Mark Blackman.
The recognition highlights the importance of law enforcement roles within Washington County as officials acknowledge both sworn officers and support staff during National Police Week.
