The National Daily Pork Report indicated a carcass cutout value of $100.59 with a change of $0.84 from the prior reporting period. Primal cuts showed mixed changes: loin at $94.12 (down by $1.60), butt at $148.75 (down by $0.03), picnic at $77.05 (down by $4.48), rib at $186.07 (up by $3.61), ham at $86.86 (up by $1.60), and belly at $119.17 (up by $5.36). Total loads reported were over 300.
Estimated daily hog slaughter under federal inspection was reported as 487,000 head for June 2; this compared to an estimated 468,000 one week ago and an actual count of 477,296 one year ago during the same period.
