The Chicago Mercantile Exchange livestock futures settlements indicated live cattle prices for June closed at 246.625 with a change of (1.500), while August contracts settled at 237.850 with a change of (1.800). Feeder cattle contracts showed similar activity, with August closing at 342.625 (5.800) lower than previous sessions.
The USDA also reported daily estimated boxed beef cutout values, listing choice cuts (600-900 lbs) at $395.86 and select cuts (600-900 lbs) at $384.43 based on Wednesday’s market data.
