U.S. District Court seeks financial and procurement specialist in South Bend

The U.S. Probation/Pretrial Services Office for the Northern District of Indiana announced on May 28 a vacancy for the position of Financial & Procurement Specialist II, based in South Bend.

According to the announcement, this role reports to the Financial Manager and is shared with the United States District Court. The responsibilities include professional, technical, and administrative duties related to financial management, procurement processes, and budgetary activities while ensuring compliance with national and local procedures, policies, and internal controls.

The office stated that the position may be eligible for remote telework. However, selected candidates will be required to attend annual financial forums or trainings as needed, and participate in all scheduled financial audits within the district. Presence in the district may be required for up to three weeks each year. Travel expenses will be covered by the Northern District of Indiana Probation & Pretrial Services Office.
