Crook competed at 141 pounds throughout his career at Virginia Tech and was in the lineup for three seasons. He redshirted during the 2024-25 season and has one year of eligibility remaining.

He is a three-time NCAA Qualifier, earning spots in each of his three seasons in the lineup. As a true freshman in 2023, Crook was seeded No. 15 at 141 pounds at the NCAA Championships and finished with a record of one win and two losses.
