Confidence and teamwork are as much winning strategies in the workplace as they are on the playing field. A new event, the 2024 Indiana Women’s Summit, explores that dynamic and offers a forum for women to empower each other, network, and learn best practices that translate to enhanced work-life fulfillment.
The inaugural Indiana Women’s Summit takes place August 15 at the Indiana Convention Center and is presented by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Indiana Sports Corp.
“There’s such excitement and momentum leading up to this event,” shares Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders. “Partnerships are a defining feature of our leadership approach at the Indiana Chamber, and it goes hand in hand with economic development and success. Bringing collaboration in the workplace together with women in athletics is a unique and powerful opportunity for all participants – professionally and personally.”
Attendees can choose from two separate course tracks that explore the impact sports have on the economy and as an individual engine for Hoosier women.
Specific session topics include individual brand building, leadership in the field to leadership in business, obstacles for women in the workplace (building benefits to support women), and living longer, happier lives through health, work, and family. Featured highlights are the day’s opening, luncheon, and closing keynotes on The Economic Impact of Women in Sports, The Impact of Mental Health on Work Performance, and Advocating for Yourself in a Male-Dominated Industry.
“This community is thriving because of the women in sports serving Indianapolis and Indiana,” says Indiana Sports Corp Chief of Staff & Strategy Sarah Myer. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Indiana Chamber to highlight some of the challenges, barriers, and opportunities for women in this field as we continue to grow this sports ecosystem.”
Registration is $199 for an individual ticket and $999 for a table of six. Organizations sending two or more receive 20% off with code GROUP20.
