Bethel University just got more affordable for Indiana Residents

Bethel University is excited to announce that the Indiana State Budget Committee approved the Indiana Commission of Higher Education’s request for the largest increase in state grant funds since 2008. Current and prospective students who are eligible for the Frank O’Bannon/Freedom of Choice Grant will receive an increased award, effective for the 2023-24 school year.

“This is the largest funding increase in award history, and when combined with the Federal Pell Grant, will allow thousands of Hoosier students to have their tuition and fees completely covered by financial aid,” the Indiana Commission for Higher Education said in a news release. “Under the approved increase, the maximum award for a student attending a private institution is $12,400.”

To meet eligibility requirements, students must be an Indiana resident, complete the FAFSA by April 15, 2023, be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, be a high school graduate by fall 2023, or hold a GED, enrolled full-time at an eligible Indiana post-secondary institution, and have an estimated family contribution (EFC) of $8,500 or less (as determined by the FAFSA).
