The U.S. Senate unanimously passed a resolution on Mar. 24 introduced by Senator Todd Young and several colleagues to honor six American service members who died in the crash of a KC-135 refueling aircraft over western Iraq during Operation Epic Fury.
The resolution recognizes the sacrifice of Captain Seth R. Koval, Captain Curtis J. Angst, Master Sergeant Tyler H. Simmons, Major Alex Klinner, Major Ariana G. Savino, and Technical Sergeant Ashley B. Pruitt, who served with air refueling units based in Ohio and Alabama.
“We continue to mourn the loss of Hoosier Captain Seth Koval and the Airmen who perished while bravely answering the call to serve,” said Senator Todd Young. “We will never forget the ultimate sacrifice these American heroes made and continue to pray for their loved ones.”
Last week, Young joined President Donald Trump, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General John Caine, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), and other senators at Dover Air Force Base for a dignified transfer ceremony for the fallen service members.
