The Notre Dame baseball team will host Central Michigan on April 28 and Milwaukee on April 29 at Jake Kline Field at Frank Eck Stadium, according to an announcement on April 27. Both games are scheduled for the evening, with first pitches set for 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively, and will be broadcast on ACCNX.

These matchups highlight ongoing success for the Irish this season. Notre Dame leads the all-time series against Central Michigan with a record of 24-14-1, while holding a 10-3 advantage over Milwaukee in previous meetings.

Head Coach Shawn Stiffler has reached a milestone as only the seventh coach in program history to achieve more than 100 wins leading the team. The squad features a blend of experience and new talent, including sixteen returning players from last year’s group that closed out their regular season with a strong finish. The roster also includes twelve true freshmen, six of whom were ranked among the top two recruits at their positions within their states for the Class of 2025.

Notable performances this season include Jack Radel retiring thirty-eight consecutive batters across two games and pitching six perfect innings with nine strikeouts against UCF. The Irish have also posted two ten-run innings during wins over Louisville and Boston College, highlighted by scoring ten runs—including two grand slams—before recording an out in one game against Louisville.

Six Notre Dame players have been recognized in D1baseball.com preseason rankings by position: Bino Watters (first baseman), Jack Radel (starting pitcher), Mark Quatrani (catcher), Drew Berkland (outfielder), Oisin Lee (relief pitcher), and Davis Johnson (outfielder). Additionally, Caden Crowell was listed ninth on D1Baseball’s Freshman Impact List for this year.

As Notre Dame prepares for these midweek contests, both experienced leaders and new contributors are expected to play key roles as they continue their current campaign.
