The Indiana Chamber of Commerce announced on May 27 that it will host the Healthcare Transformation Summit on June 18 at its conference center in downtown Indianapolis. The event is supported by presenting sponsor CVS Health.
The summit aims to bring together employers, healthcare providers, policymakers and industry leaders to address challenges facing the healthcare system and seek solutions for affordability, access and workforce health across Indiana. Vanessa Green Sinders, president and CEO of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, said, “Healthcare is one of the most significant issues impacting our economy and quality of life. Employers are navigating cost and access challenges while also working to support healthier, more productive employees. This summit is designed to bring key voices together to advance meaningful solutions.”
Session topics include affordable benefits and workforce stability through Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangements (MEWAs), addressing regional healthcare imbalances between rural and urban areas, reshaping women’s health benefits via Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRA) and tax incentives, improving digital infrastructure for healthcare delivery, and using preventative care as an economic strategy.
Sinders said that the agenda reflects a consensus that collaboration across sectors is necessary for solving healthcare challenges: “With employers paying for a large share of healthcare costs, they have a strong incentive to drive change.”
