Vanessa Green Sinders, President and CEO of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, responded to Governor Mike Braun’s State of the State address, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to improving Indiana’s business environment.
“The Indiana Chamber is dedicated to strengthening the state’s competitive business climate to attract and retain employers, economic development and a skilled workforce. We appreciate Governor Braun’s continued actions to make that happen – some of which he outlined in tonight’s address,” said Sinders.
She also addressed the upcoming legislative session. “We look forward to working with the Governor’s Office and lawmakers over the next six weeks to advance key priorities for the business community, including those on childcare accessibility, tort reform, local government modernization and providing the opportunity for more high schoolers to have a work-based learning experience. While this session is very condensed, we are confident impactful legislation can be passed to further our competitive position and economic growth in Indiana.”
The Indiana Chamber has outlined its legislative priorities for 2026, focusing on issues such as workforce development, legal reforms, modernization of local governance, and expanding opportunities for students to gain practical work experience.
