The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is preparing to host its 62nd Annual Indiana HR Conference and Expo, a three-day event scheduled for April 28-30 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The conference will bring together human resources professionals from across the state and highlight industry services and products through a market expo.

The event is sponsored by Delta Dental of Indiana and organized in partnership with Bose McKinney & Evans LLP. Additional support comes from platinum sponsors such as Bank of America, Butler University, Continental, FBT Gibbons LLP, LHD Benefit Advisors, McGohan Brabender, and SIHO Insurance Services. Gold and silver sponsors include organizations like Active Release Techniques (ART), CoreHealth, Faegre Drinker, Parkview Health, IndySHRM, Novo Nordisk Inc., Wellbridge Surgical, among others.

Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders emphasized the importance of HR professionals today: “Human resources professionals are at the center of today’s most important workplace conversations, helping their organizations adapt, strengthen culture and prepare for what’s next,” she said. “So, it’s exciting to collaborate with such a wide range of accomplished and insightful presenters dedicated to helping our attendees, who come from companies of all sizes and various industries, grow, improve and excel in their roles.

“This year’s lineup of speakers promises to deliver exceptional value, and our expo exhibitors will likewise offer a deep well of resources, tools and guidance to support HR teams throughout the state.”

Chris Rollins will deliver the morning keynote on April 29. His talk will address how belonging is fostered not only through large-scale initiatives but also through everyday interactions where employees feel recognized.

Amanda Areces—president of HRD*| A Leadership Development Company—will be the closing keynote speaker. Her presentation is titled “Leading the Shift: Developing the Next Generation of Leaders Before They’re in Charge.”

The agenda features workshops covering topics such as HR leadership development, compliance fatigue management, workplace culture improvement strategies, talent development practices, mental fitness promotion within organizations, proper disciplinary documentation procedures and more.

During a luncheon on April 30 at the conference’s conclusion an individual will be recognized with the Ogletree Deakins Human Resources Professional of the Year Award. Nominations are currently open for this honor until March 9; eligible nominees must be full-time HR practitioners based in Indiana who have made notable contributions over the past year. Submissions can be made online via www.indianachamber.com/hrpro; questions may be directed to Abby Waning at awaning@indianachamber.com.

Last year’s award went to Ann M. Stevens from Parkview Health in Fort Wayne.

Registration for all three days costs $449 for members or $549 for non-members if purchased before March 27. Further pricing details along with attendance options are available at www.indianahrconf.com.
