How many H-1B petitions made by Indiana employers were approved during 2024?

In 2024, 2,827 of the 2,885 H-1B petitions submitted by employers based in Indiana were approved, according to data provided by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services via the H-1B Employer Data Hub.

This represents an approval rate of 98%, which is on par with the nationwide average.

The Finance and Insurance industry followed, with 594 petitions (20.6% of all submissions), receiving 586 approvals and an approval rate of 98.7%.

The Indiana employers with the most approvals during 2024 included Elevance Health, Inc., filing a total of 554 petitions and receiving 550 approvals, resulting in an approval rate of 99.3%, and Indiana University, which filed 223 petitions and received 221 approvals, resulting in an approval rate of 99.1%.

Compared to 2023, Indiana saw a 4.9% increase in the number of H-1B petitions during 2024.
