Indiana Wrestling had five student-athletes finish with All-American status across both Freestyle and Greco-Roman competition in USA Wrestling’s U23 Nationals and U20 World Team Trials tournaments, according to a June 1 announcement.

In the U20 World Team Trials (Freestyle), Jackson Blum took third place at 61 kg. Blum opened the tournament with a bye before losing in the quarterfinals. After dropping to the consolation bracket, he wrestled all the way back to third place and avenged his loss to Tommy Wurster (Beast Mode Wrestling) from earlier in the tournament.

In U23 Nationals, Gabe Sollars advanced to the finals at 92 kg in Freestyle. Sollars won five matches en route to the finals, defeating Coy Raines (Bloomsburg), Kael Wisler (Michigan State), Zyan Hall (Navy), Oscar Williams (Maryland), and Nick Nosler (SIUE). Sollars secured four of those victories by technical fall. In the finals, Sollars faced Hayden Walters (Michigan) for a Best Two of Three series. Walters won both matches to claim the U23 National Title.

Tyler Lillard reached the semifinals in the 79 kg bracket of U23 Nationals Freestyle after wins over Bode Marlow (Pitt) and Brett Smith (Northern Illinois). He lost to Matthew Singleton of North Carolina State in the semifinals before moving into consolation rounds. Lillard defeated Gunner Filipowicz (Army) by an 11-7 decision for fifth place.

In Greco-Roman competition at U23 Nationals, Lucas Peters finished third at 63 kg while Marlo Clark took sixth place at 60 kg. All Greco-Roman events were held on Friday, May 29; freestyle action occurred Saturday and Sunday, May 30-31.

The full list of Indiana competitors includes Jackson Blum taking third place at 61 kg in freestyle for U20 World Team Trials; Tyler Lillard finishing fifth at 79 kg; Gabe Sollars placing second at 92 kg; Lucas Peters securing third place at 63 kg; and Marlo Clark earning sixth place at 60 kg.
