State Representative Kendell Culp honored the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles’ DeMotte-Rensselaer Branch with a House District Declaration after the branch was named the 2025 Branch of the Year in the medium size category, according to a May 28 announcement.
“Congratulations to the staff at our local BMV branch,” Culp said. “We value their quality service, friendly interactions and hard work that keeps this essential operation running.”
Out of 116 BMV branches statewide, Culp said DeMotte-Rensselaer was recognized for its performance in customer experience time, customer satisfaction, and service quality.
Last September, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles held a public hearing regarding a proposed consolidation of the Rensselaer branch. The location is one of two BMV offices in Jasper County serving over 33,000 residents. Due to strong public support expressed during that hearing, officials decided to keep the branch open while continuing to monitor transaction numbers and in-person visits.
A House District Declaration is awarded locally to individuals or organizations within House District 16 who serve their community with distinction and have a positive impact on others.
