The Indianapolis Colts announced on Apr. 25 that they have selected Kentucky guard Jalen Farmer in the fourth round, with the No. 113 overall pick, of the 2026 National Football League Draft.
This selection adds depth to the Colts’ offensive line and highlights their focus on strengthening protection for their quarterback. The move is seen as part of ongoing efforts to improve team performance through new talent.
Farmer, who stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 312 pounds, began his college football career at Florida from 2022 to 2023 before transferring to Kentucky for the following two seasons. During his time with the Wildcats, he started in 24 games at right guard.
At this year’s NFL Combine, Farmer ran a notable 4.93-second time in the 40-yard dash, which is reported as the fourth-fastest recorded by any guard since at least 1999. He is originally from Covington, Georgia and attended Eastside High School.
The Colts continue to look for promising athletes who can contribute immediately and develop within their system. Further information about player evaluations and scheme fits for new team members can be found on NFL IQ, which is built on Amazon Quick.
