The Indianapolis Colts announced on May 8 the initial jersey numbers assigned to their selections from the 2026 National Football League Draft.

The announcement provides fans and observers with a first look at how new players will be represented on the field in the upcoming season. Assigning jersey numbers is a standard step as teams integrate new talent into their rosters following the draft.

Linebacker CJ Allen will wear No. 53, a number last worn by Germaine Pratt in 2025. Notable previous Colts to have worn No. 53 include Shaquille Leonard (2018-2023), Ray Donaldson (1980-1992), and Stan White (1972-1979).

Safety A.J. Haulcy has been assigned No. 25, which was most recently used by Rodney Thomas II from 2022 to 2025. Past holders of this number include Marlon Mack (2017-2021), Nick Harper (2001-2006), and Nesby Glasgow (1979-1987).

Guard Jalen Farmer will take No. 62, previously worn by Wesley French during the past two seasons, while Bryce Boettcher will wear No. 50, last seen on Segun Olubi between 2022 and 2025.

Defensive end George Gumbs Jr.’s jersey number is set as No. 52, after Samson Ebukam’s tenure from 2023 to 2025, and Caden Curry has been given No. 55 following Chad Muma’s use of it in the previous year.

Running back Seth McGowan will don No. 20—last held by Nick Cross—and wide receiver Deion Burks receives No. 80 after Jelani Woods wore it through the last two seasons.

The assignment of these numbers continues team traditions while connecting new players with notable figures from franchise history.
